forever wild review

“It’s Jonah’s fearless confidence that makes my blood race. His unwavering loyalty that makes me search for him in every room. His untamed passion that makes me weak at the knees. It’s everything-inside and out, good and bad-that makes up this wild man’s heart.”

It’s been almost a year to the day when Calla set off with a one-way ticket to her new life in Alaska. Forever Wild follows Jonah and Calla as they celebrate Christmas with their families. With everyone’s family in town there is bound to be some drama with a capital D. Like pressure to set a wedding date. And, I mean, Jonah does have a long list of grievances with his stepfather. Then there’s Calla’s mom who does not want some sort of backwoods Hee Haw wedding celebration. Yikes! Will there be nuclear war-level tension come Christmas Day?

I am wild for Jonah and Calla but I think my fave character will always be curmudgeon AKA Roy. The visual with him and his raccoon hat made me LOL. Roy and Calla’s relationship is precious! She never gives up on him. The last sentence of the epilogue. Cue tears! Giddy! Squeal! Forever Wild is a story about those important people who are woven into the fabric of our daily lives, second-chances, and immense love. A wonderful novella to The Simple Wild duology. *chef’s kiss* πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜˜ (hold up! Is there more! Marie? 🀞🏼)
