For us, Easter is so much more than a basket of goodies. I love the way our pastor explains Easter. This celebration is important to us because it proved Jesus is who he claimed to be. Three events took place on that Easter weekend: the trial of Jesus, the death of Jesus, and the resurrection of Jesus. Jesus claimed to be the Savior of the world. In John 12:47, He is recorded as saying: “I did not come to judge the world, but to save it” (NIV). “Because of the cross and because of his Resurrection, we have the hope of eternal life in Heaven. That’s the Good News.” (Rick Warren)
I love the memories I have from Easter! We celebrate Easter with brunch and an egg hunt. Dane will love it. Except, I know he’s going to think they are balls and just throw them. Insert face palm emoji. When I was little, my mom always put together a basket of treats and surprises for us. I want to continue that for Dane. These are some of the things for his basket this year:
Cuddle + Kind doll. Dane has been into hugging all his animals and hiding them under our ottoman. A huggable stuffie is perfect for his basket. Plus, I love supporting companies who have amazing missions.
Bubble machine. Bubbles are a fave! He requests for soap bubbles when he’s in the bath. And what kid doesn’t love bubbles. We plan on using this bubble machine outside.
Books. Also a fave! We really limit the television but Saturday mornings are for cartoons. Fishy cartoons. Finding Dory is our go to. Thanks Netflix. We have one Easter book and Finding Dory.
Pajamas. I love these ones from primary. They are a good price point. Basics. I love that they have footless zipper ones. It’s almost summer so these are a great fit.
Bath toys. I already mentioned Dane’s love for fishies. And the bath. He’s going to flip when he sees these Finding Dory toys. Bath books are another good option. We have two that Dane insists we read. And read again. And again. And again.
Awe we have that bubble machine for Ollie and he LOVES it! All these are such great ideas!
Love that sweet Easter basket!
